ETTER Engineering Company has been a leader in combustion and process heating solutions since 1940. Based in Bristol, Connecticut, the company started as a manufacturer's representative firm and has grown into a trusted partner for gas equipment, system integration, and custom engineering. Their expertise lies in the application and control of gas-fired systems, ranging from burner components to fully integrated, custom-built solutions. With a UL-certified control panel shop, a skilled technical team, and a focus on innovation, they deliver reliable products and support for OEMs, system upgrades, and new installations.
ETTER invented and patented the Catalytic Methane Abatement System (CMAS) in 2019, a field-proven solution designed to actively destroy fugitive methane emissions at the source. Protected under United States Patent #10,150,081 with corresponding Canadian patent protection, CMAS was engineered specifically for upstream oil and gas operators seeking practical, reliable methane mitigation. The CMAS converts methane into CO₂ and water vapor using a platinum-based catalyst without requiring external electrical power. The system is CSA/FM approved for Class I, Division I hazardous locations and built for continuous outdoor operation, delivering up to 99.7% methane destruction and 85%+ GHG reduction in the field.
